Contributing through the United Way helps ensure that your contribution is well spent.  Your contribution is allocated among many local agencies that help local people in need.  Volunteers in your community scrutinize agency budgets and talk to agency staff and then recommend which agencies should be funded and how much money they should receive. On annual fund drive can raise much more to help agencies in our community than they could ever hope to raise on their own.
