MESSAGE FROM BOARD PRESIDENT AND EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Dear Friends,
“We are committed to improve Hardin County by mobilizing the caring power of our community.” This is our mission and to achieve that mission, we partner with twenty-two agencies throughout Hardin County. In order for the agencies to maintain their programs for those in need, we conduct our annual United Way campaign to raise monies that will be distributed and used for specific programs. What really matters are the lives we change, the community we shape and the future we hope for.
But, United Way is so much more. We have realized the need to be visible throughout the entire year and so we strive to find ways and take advantage of programs that will assist our citizens and agencies outside the campaign. Whether it is making available the Family Wize RX program, partnering with Wal-Mart to “Stuff the Bus” to provide school supplies countywide, working with Habitat for Humanity on a home project or managing the AEP Ohio Partnership with Ohio Funds for Hardin County, the United Way is working to insure the services that matter to you, our investors, are available in the community.
You support United Way not just because you care, but because you want to get things done. Your support is of vital importance to our mission and we understand the need for accountability. We carefully review funding requests to insure they address and impact local needs. We diligently examine agency finances, insuring your money is well spent. Moreover, we will report the outcome of your contributions, because at the end of the day, it is the results that matter
By tapping into the collective will, wisdom and energy of our entire community we can make a difference. Individually we cannot meet this challenge, but together, united, we cannot help but succeed.
Thank you.
Diana Smith Annetta Holmes

A Message From the Campaign Chairs
It has been our privilege to serve in the capacity of United Way campaign Chairs and what a campaign it was! Thanks to the efforts of our campaign cabinet, United Way board, partner agencies and their boards, and YOU, our good neighbors we reached 98% of our goal in a time of great financial struggle. Thank you so very much for believing in the mission, for supporting that mission with your dollars, and most importantly for realizing the need that exists right here in Hardin County.
Thank you for being a part of a team that is reaching out and joining hands to make a difference in Hardin County.
